1. In general, how successful was the lesson? What evidence supports your conclusion? (3d, 4a) I believe the lesson was very successful. Students were actively engaged with materials, and content for the whole extension of the period. In addition, the teacher was able to visit and conferences with each ability group, and hear their discussion points. I also believe this lesson was successful because based on the discussions; the students have a firm understanding of the book and how to run discussions. 2. What adjustments to your original plan (if any) did you make during the lesson? Why did you determine those adjustments were necessary? (3d, 3e) If I were to do this lesson again, I would begin the lesson earlier. I would begin the lesson early because students struggled with getting the amount of work completed in the period we provided. 8. Describe how you established and implemented classroom routines and procedures? (2c) I established and implemented classroom routines and procedure by continuing our routine of reading the chapter book, working on vocab independently, working on comprehension questions together, working on question creating separately, and conferencing together. By continuing the routine, I am reinforcing the procedure, so the next work day, it should run even smoother. 9. What would you do differently if you had to teach the lesson again to the same group of students (including any changes to planning and the implementation of the lesson)? (4a) If I were to do anything differently, I would begin the lesson early in order to give students more time to do their work. In addition, I would fill out the rubrics right after hearing students’ discussions. Now looking at the rubrics, I am finding it challenging to fill them
