How would you feel if you were stuck in a room for two years? In the Diary Of Anne Frank it talks about how Anne lives her life through ages thirteen through fifteen. Anne gets her diary on her thirteenth birthday. She wrote in the diary almost every day. Anne doesn’t get a lot of freedom in her life because she has been stuck in a secret room called the “Secret Annex.” Anne was stuck in the “Secret Annex” for about two years and had literally nothing to do. The only thing she could do is write in her diary, eat and sleep. Anne started her diary at the age of thirteen. That was something that Anne could do without anyone seeing what she’s writing. Anne feels very different now that she has gotten older through the years in the annex. In the book, Anne said “ I feel very independent after i had my first kiss with Peter. (212)” Anne feels older and more mature now that she has kissed a boy. Sometimes Anne feels that Peter might not feel the same way that she feels about him. In the book, Anne feels happy and joyful when she’s around Peter and on page (153) Anne says “I wanted to let him go on about talking about himself, so i kept my amusement to myself, went and sat on a cushion on the floor, put my arms around my bent knees, and looked at him attentively. I wonder how Anne would be now if she hadn’t been in the annex for two years.” On page (240) Anne says “ I feel miserable.” If I went through what Anne went through, I bet anybody would feel the same. Anne is tired of all the same people she has been stuck in the annex with. She has been with them in a room for two years and wants to get out. Anne won’t have the same childhood as everyone else. Anne also said “when she’s bored, she likes to talk about politics. (188)” Another thing that Anne likes to do is express feelings. In the book, “ Anne says she likes to express her feelings and emotions in her diary and by telling other people. (145)” “Anne has the freedom to do many things espiscally activites and hobbies.
