Hays and Sowa (2010) argued, “In addition, software packages that aid in the automation of the selection process through online examinations, expedited background checks, and a variety of other tasks are being developed and marketed to HRM managers through professional associations” (p. 118). However, the use of this innovations has in a way impacted organizations. For instance, many managers and budget specialists have argued that the use and maintenance of internet technologies may require higher costs.
