There is an experiment proves that idea, which is asking had half of the class to use Internet-connected laptops while the other half of the class didn’t use their computers (Carr, 2010, para.5). According to the result, the performance of those students who used laptops was worse than the others (Carr, 2010, para.8). Furthermore, in Carr’s “Does the Internet Make You Dumber?” the heavy multitaskers are defined as the people who are not good at multitasking unless they become those “infrequent” multitaskers. Otherwise, everything is distractive (Carr, 2010, para.8). So it is obvious that using technology while learning could affect learning because of the multitasking and shifting software. Besides this, there are also some comparisons confirm the thinking that using technology has a negative influence on learning.
