I think that doing a similar commercial for Cadillac would not be nearly as effective as Doritos’, because Cadillac is a high involvement purchase, and will need to use central persuasion. In an ad like this, a successful one would need to have the actual Cadillac ATS sedan on screen, which could greatly decrease the amount of consumers who are able to submit an ad, let alone one that would be successful. • Cadillac has recently been trying for a more serious angle and attempting to avoid clichés in their ads.
