Government agencies are changing rapidly since the inauguration of Donald Trump. However, the changes he is making to them is turning climate change into a much harder problem to deal with. Some legislation that was implemented prior to Trump’s leadership, did the exact opposite. Many of the agencies also gave scientific proof that climate change was affecting the Earth. Donald Trump should review his decisions and change them for the better of the world.
A reduction in the use of fossil fuels and an increase in the use of renewable energy could be a major step towards less greenhouse gas emissions. Some people might believe that weather is always changing and climate change has nothing to do with it. In his article, “Yes: Harvey shows climate change is real,” Wayne Madsen explained that, “The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has counted an average of five named Atlantic storms each year from 1995 to 2012, an increase from years past.” The increase in the number of named storms per year paints the picture that weather is changing at an accelerated rate. Donald Trump among other Trump supporters argue that climate change does not exist and is a hoax created by the Chinese. James Hansen, a former NASA scientist, stated that,” Eventually, I resigned as principal investigator on our Venus experiment because a planet changing before our eyes is more interesting and important. It's changes will affect all of humanity.” He gave up his career at NASA so he could fight a problem that no one believed in. Some would say being a NASA scientist is ten times cooler than working on climate change.
