We need to do what we can to prevent people from continuing to do this and educate ourselves on the potential impact on our lives. Drinking and driving has been affecting the lives of americans for about 100 years. Alcohol has been imparing drivers making it dangerous not only for them to drive but for others on the road. People should not drink and drive because of the history behind it, the amount of deaths it causes, how it impacts people lives, how it impacts the economy, and there are ways to prevent it from occuring. The history of drinking and driving dates back to 1910. It is no surprise that drinking and driving has impacted our lives one way or another. Drunk driving has been around for about as long as cars have been around. Drunk drivers cost the U.S. large amounts of money every year. It also costs people directly and indirectly involved with the accident. It can increase the amount of insurance, taxes, medical, property, and human life costs each year or even months. Is drunk driving really worth spending all this money over something you could have avoided. This can also relate to how this will effect you life because you will have to being paying higher amounts of cash that you could be using for your own needs.
