Edgar Allan Poe - The master of horror stories Introduction Edgar Allan Poe was one of 1800 best poets, he wrote poems and novels that have had a big impact over the world during his time, but also today. Edgar’s horror novels are known to be the best in the worlds history. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA 1809 and then died early in 1849 in a hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He lived in a family with three sisters and brothers. He started to write when he was 14 years old. As a writer, he wrote poems and short stories and also worked as a literary critic, but he is most known for short stories. Edgar met his wife in Virginia, and they lived together from 1831 to 1835. I think he wrote the poem because his wife left him, even as he tried to keep her. Edgar lived during a period called “the slow 1800 century”. A period that stretched from the industrial revolution to the first world war. Edgar also lived when the industrial revolution was in England. Edgar Allan wrote many poems and his specialty was horror novels. He wrote all the poems because they have a connection with his younger days. So when he wrote the poems, they gave a big impact in the world to literatur. Edgar Allan was not poor nor rich. He was a normal boy who worked for his money, for example he worked as a lexon. Edgar Allan had it very difficult than he was young, his dad left his mother before he was borned and his mom died when he was three years old. But even if his mom died when he was so young, he remembered her as a wonderful mom, who loved him with all of her heart.
