I never really knew what I wanted to be growing up until the beginning of my senior year when I found myself sitting in a Government class. Many of my peers found the subject quite boring but I on the contrary found it riveting, exciting, and amazing. I truly enjoy learning about government and there’s nothing else that I’d rather do then go on to become a Government teacher. One day I will achieve my future goal of becoming a government teacher, because of the strengths that I have. Some of my strengths would be that I’m a good listener, fast learner and very goal driven. However, I do believe that I have one weakness which is being a perfectionist. Needless to say I always had an A in the class. This wasn’t always the case in my previous classes. My government teacher Mrs. Buitron has greatly impacted my life choices due to her amazing ability to teach. I enjoy her class and the compassion she has for government, and I believe that I have that same compassion. I admire her teaching style and I hope to one day duplicate the way she teaches into my classroom. I want to make an impact on kid’s lives by helping them understand how the government completely works. A very influential class that I’ve taken called Ready, Set, Teach has given me an insight on what it’s like to be a teacher. In this class we help teachers on and off campus. Through my on campus experiences I’ve helped assist teachers with things such as grading papers and making copies. When our
