In order for our culture to function, individuals must be productive members of society. The purpose of education is to meet this need because without education, our society will not advance but become motionless. This is only accomplished through a quality education. Educators are essential to our society for the rationale that we need them to provide our youth with the knowledge and societal practices they will need to develop their future and the future of our nation. As an educator, I hope to be able to inspire many lives and help young people understand what education can do for them and their future and for this reason I entered the field of education. My personal traits, attitudes, values, and past experiences influence my philosophy and performance. I believe a career in education is a worthwhile vocation for this cause. In our competitive society it is important for young people to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is conscious of and responsive to their personality. A student is influenced by his environment, and patterns his behavior to match the individuals closest to him. I believe that each student is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and thought-provoking environment in which to develop and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help young people meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an atmosphere that is secure, exciting, and attracts a sharing of dreams. Educators’ behavior should reflect values such as patience, compassion, forgiveness, and non-judgmental attitude. I will try to demonstrate these moral principles by employing a variety of teaching technique, in an effort to reach all students at all
