Electronic Arts, EA, has been a part of the video game industry for 25 years. They are considered one of the leading distributors in global interactive entertainment software company with an average revenue well above a billion dollars. Their main goal is to create virtual reality* for gamers across all platforms from consoles to personal computers and even your mobile phone; some of the games they create for these devices include EA Sports Fifa/NFL/Nhl, Battlefield, Sims, and many other games. With so many games coming out each year by this developer, they have been able to get a large fan base for many games like Fifa that sold more than 3.2 million copies in the first week averaging them $180 million dollars in revenue alone. With a sports game selling this much then what could happen with Battlefield, a large battle ground for gamers to shoot one another can amount to. Electronic Arts has been able to stay around the gaming industry because they do things right and know how the, now growing, gamers will buy their products. Ever since they learned what consumers will buy add-ons of a videogames, they only focused on that part of the game. They release unfinished games stating that they will release extra content for an additional $30 dollars. This is like when a person purchases a vehicle they and expect the car to have everything, but what if the dealer decides to remove the air conditioning unit and states that will included for an additional $300 dollars, would you feel a little ripped of your money? This is what Electronic Arts is doing to their consumers, they release a game and state that one of the most important parts will be included later on in the game. While they do a great do with social responsibility to release a new game every year, but it places their ethics in questionable standing with their
