They possess a wealth of knowledge and expertise, contributing to the organization's success. However, like any internal factor, employees can have strengths and weaknesses that impact the business. In this case, Supie exhibits several strengths and weaknesses related to their employees.
I have been surrounded by books all my life, that makes me one of the lucky ones as I developed an appreciation for books, information, and stories at an early age. Birthdays, Christmas, every holiday was an excuse for my grandfather or another relative to give me a book. My room contained multiple book shelves that needed frequent weeding, due to the lack of space for newer arrivals. I believed, due to my love of reading, that I was meant to become a writer, and some writing awards in my high school years supported that. However, four years of getting my Bachelor degree in English (with an emphasis in Creative Writing) only taught me that I love books and that I am an excellent tutor to my peers and children.
From a very young age, I was keenly interested in computers. The world of the computer always caught my attention, and I wanted to seek more knowledge in this particular field. Computers always seem like a mystery to me, I wanted to know how they work and how exactly they perform tasks in few seconds which humans could take more time to complete. This interest never left me, only growing more profound and passionate about every new discovery I made. From communicating with an artificial intelligence to seeing the wonders of the Internet for the first time, computers have left me fascinated with just how much power yet mystery they hold.
History from the Inside was my first in-depth look at history and how it shaped the modern world. So naturally, I did not answer many of the questions on the Admission Test correctly. One of the questions that I was not sure about at all was “What do you think the terms “westernization” and “globalization” mean, when did the processes they name begin, and who is, or was being “westernized” or “globalized”?” Over the past few terms, I have been able to learn much more about these topics.
I have an innate curiosity for how things work. Whether it’s researching the mechanisms of metastasis in cancer cells or learning about how mutations in a single gene can cause disorders that affect the entire body, I have always been fascinated by what causes things to happen the way they do at the molecular level. This curiosity, coupled with my admiration for intimate doctor-patient relationships, fueled my aspiration to become a physician. Through shadowing a hand surgeon and a gynecologist and volunteering at nursing homes, I have engaged with many patients and listened to their unique stories. These experiences have further deepened my interest in medicine and my desire to become a physician.
“You're so frail and slight in (the moon’s) silvery light; Our fate is not one we can fight.” (A Cruel Angel’s Thesis) Fate is predetermined by forces beyond human capacity, yet humans attempt to take control of the process through the pressures of society. Society applies a standard of perfection and success to new generation, even if the environment has changed to reflect a new era. As a teenager growing up in California, my life is influenced not from my wishes, but rather those of my environment, as competition is rampant to join the ranks of programmers and engineers.
I often sit and contemplate, what would the world be like without the computers. Today, every facet of our life is around the computer; from the way we communicate; deal with business; govern a country; to even how we learn. It’s a fact that the computers and other devices associated with it are becoming more intuitive, as well as connected. As you know the future is bright for network engineers with the invention of quantum computers a whole new network infrastructure is required for them to communicate.
Stephen Covey once said, “Every human has four endowments - self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom... The power to choose, to respond, to change.” This quote speaks to me on a personal level. In life there is always a time every individual is expected to grow into an independent, free human being.
Everyone has talents that are unique in a special way. Everyone needs talents so they can contribute to their community. Everyone should share their talents with their community that desperately needs them in order to be successful. I share with my community the talent God gave me, teaching children, by serving my community the Back of the Yards. There are many examples of talents or as some people call them gifts, that each person is born with just like singing, playing an instrument, understanding and caring for children, public speaking skills, making people feel better, being a leader and the list is infinite.
Please discuss your interest in science and mathematics. * My fascination with science and mathematics began at a very young age. In elementary school, I was already taking accelerated math classes as well as participating in science quest, an after-school club. With science, I have the option to explore the unknown and satisfy my curiosity of the world around us.
Please strongly consider my request to switch my current schedule, as my interests have dramatically changed, and I now have a newfound exuberance for school. In the past, I used to coast through school and found that suited me well. I had little motivation to increase my boundaries and challenge myself to grow as a person. After spending time with some highly influential individuals, my ideas about school have changed. I now view school as a way to become greater, as opposed to my prior view as simply a time that must be spent.
Although I excel in all my International Baccalaureate classes, the two classes that I excel the most are Biology and Psychology. From a very young age my favorite class has always been a science-related one; ranging from Earth Science to Chemistry. Several factors such as my will to learn, my mentors throughout the years, and my goal in life played a significant role in motivating me to reach success and thrive all this years. My motto in life is, “to never give up”. My will to learn correlates with excelling in most of my classes because I believe that without knowledge we are nothing.
From a wide array of experiences and opportunities in my life, I have solidified my belief that studying a course in physics or natural sciences (with a focus on physical sciences) is the ideal direction to accomplish my goals of becoming a successful physicist. Experiences ranging from a science related summer school to discussions with a teacher who worked on a nuclear powered aircraft carrier have all pushed me to the realization that I am passionately committed to physics. I also believe my rigorous academic record proves that I would be successful in studying this course at the university level. In high school, I worked closely with my counselor to ensure that I would take every advanced science and mathematics course available.
I am keen to study biology and/or psychology at university as I am intrigued by how humans interact with each other and by how the human body functions. From this I am extremely driven to develop a deeper understanding of what makes us who we are and studying biology and/or psychology will help me accomplish this. I am looking forward to looking at the way living organisms and the body system works and how the immune system functions and responds within the body. In Psychology, the idea of what makes people distinctive and how different aspects make our personalities is what interests me. My current BTEC course has pursued me to want to carry biology and/or psychology in to a higher degree.
Today in Digital age where technology is everything and programing is the heart of all these technologies which propels them. As the time turns fast so is the programing and hence new, better and safe methods are required to protect information. The constant thinking which is required for such tasks is what drives me towards Computer Science field. An approach to make things work faster, a way to make codes bug free and a way to protect information at every level are areas of my interest for future studies.
