As a little girl my parents took me to many different places. We went to the Jersey Shore to see our great aunt, and to walk the boardwalk at night, we went to Virginia Beach to spend some quality family time in the sun, and we went to Hong Kong to adopt my little sister. In spite of all the fun, sunny, and cultured activities that these places have to offer, there has only been one place that made me feel that I could learn something new everyday. Transitioning into the ever competitive workforce has been a process that many college students struggle with. In order to make this transition somewhat easier, NBC provides college age students with an incredible opportunity. The National Broadcasting Company has positions for college students who are looking to make a career in this city. NBC offers a page program in which students can work as tour guides for NBC/Universal for a twelvemonth period. Not only does this provide a rewarding experience that few will ever dream of, but one will gain insight into the media and broadcast industry.
Once an individual completes this program, there are so many open opportunities. This city is the epicenter for broadcast news.In order to get into this career, one has to dive into the experience wholeheartedly. There are so many news outlets in NYC, each providing empty positions that one could fill. In front of the camera, behind the scenes, editing; all of these positions are needed in order to produce a brilliant New York City television broadcast.
