Marijuana is considered illegal in many countries. Some countries like the United States (Washington and Colorado) have legalized for medical purposes. Various punishment are imposed for use or possession of cannabis in most countries. The punishments generally range from simple to severe. Possession of low quantities of marijuana is not punished the same way as possession of large quantities.
