Simulated violence video games are very popular nowadays. One of the most trendy video games today is Alien: Isolation. Imagine yourself in gloomy 2137, it is 15 years after aliens have invaded Earth. You are set on a quest to find you missing mother. Suddenly, a burly alien viciously eats your partner and blood appears on your screen as if it was in your eyes. This may seem like a terrible game for kids but it actually teaches the kids how to get through difficult situations and some puzzle solving skills. But, there is no proof yet that violent video games are bad or good.
Though most people think that video games are only bad for kids. In fact, some games promote social responsibility and other may help sharpen your child’s survival skills. Subsequently, many scientists believe that video games are not likely to be the sole source of violence. Adam Lanza, who killed 26 people in a Newton, Connecticut school shooting was an avid Call Of Duty player. Violence can actually be a outcome of playing violent video games because some kids have the mindset of ‘if I can do it in a game I can do it in the real world”. When they think this it sets off something in their brain. “Video games could be expected to have a larger effect than media violence. The player is participating. Kids today have so much “screen time” that they are getting addicted. If they played these games once or twice it most likely wouldn't have a huge impact, but if they are getting addicted and playing everyday it will likely have some influence on them.
