I personally believe that we, the adults and parents of today’s generation, are responsible for Texas schools closing and education reducing across the state. Another problem would be that many of the children we have suffer through diseases and pregnancies that they don’t know how to prevent or take care of. In Texas, Governor Perry has his mind set to keeping the education how it is and using money for “more important” issues. He is most interested in keeping the areas nice looking, and providing high quality buildings, goods, and attractions rather than schools and educators to school the children who need it. We pawn off our duties to those who really are trained to do another job, expecting our kids to come home completely up to date with what the world expects them to know. Teachers are expected to teach everything to our children perfectly so they have no questions or problems to clarify. Church leaders are expected to teach our children morals to get them through their childhood, instead of us taking it upon ourselves. Nevertheless, we never notice the impact that schooling does have and what we could do on our own, and think it won’t be too big of a deal for us to cut parts of the educational systems. In Texas, large sums of money are no longer being used for these purposes, and schools are scheduled to be closed. As I said before, money has been used too much for other purposes. Once small word got around, a “solution” was proposed by our citizens, who thought we could fix the gap by increasing a cigarette tax, so they added that and let the issue go. That didn’t work too well, but still we didn’t make an effort to make the money we need. Again, Governor Perry especially has been using money for redesigning and higher quality attractions, but adults have only gone along with
