Have you ever thought about a problem with the U.S. education system? There are a couple problems with the U.S. education system by now, but everyone ignores the important parts of the education system that need to be fixed or the problems that need to be solved. Some of the problems need to be examined and dealt with. Some of the important problem are year-round schooling, how schools stress students to get perfect grades, and many other problems that need to be discussed.
I know year-round schooling sounds like a bad thing and that you don't get as long of a break, but you actually get a longer break sometimes by up to 2 weeks! But the truth is that grades should not be that important. They do need to be a priority but not as big of one that we make them out to be. Some students are putting grades before their own health, in some cases because they think grades are basically what determine their own self-worth. The whole mind set that grades should be the most important thing in life is not at all good, especially to those who are going through tough times or even depression. The connection between grades and education that all students have today is completely wrong. Nowadays people are also getting grades and intelligence mixed up. As an illustration let's say you have a D+ in social studies but a A- in math. That does not mean you are stupid, it just means that math is your strong suit and social studies is not. Everyone is highly intelligent in one way or another, but grades don't help show that. Grades make you think that if you have a C in a class then you need to study harder or try harder even when you are studying or trying your hardest in the class. We need to focus more on making school less stressful or more enjoyable to the
