“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) Recently, some scientists have attempted to disprove the biblical creation as described in Genesis. In Genesis chapter one, God creates the Earth and the universe. On the first day, God created the heavens and the Earth without form and covered in water. Then, the earth was shaped into a mold. Although still covered with water, on the second day God created the sky. Wanting to separate the seas, God created land that could produce plants and fruits on the fourth day. God made the waters teem with creatures, and created birds for the skies on the fifth day. Secular scientists use information regarding fossils, rock formation, salt content in the ocean, and radiometric dating to support the idea of evolution and an old universe; however, creation scientists, or young earthers, use the same evidences to support a biblical creation. Evolutionist and Creationist often disagree while discussing the matter of water covering the entire world in water. Tending to deny that a global flood ever took place, evolutionists’ views contradict creationists greatly, because creationists look to the Bible which states that a global flood not only occurs once during the creation, but twice whenever God cleansed the Earth in the story of Noah and his arc …show more content…

Author of Not By Chance, Dr. Lee Spetner said in his book, “All point mutations that have been studied on the molecular level turn out to reduce the genetic information and not to increase it… not even one mutation has been observed that adds a little information to the genome.” (“SC”) After the fall of man in Genesis (when death, disease, and destruction enter the world), mutations became a possibility which lead to diversity in “kinds”, or families, rather than the creation of totally different animals. In modern science “kinds” falls under the same categorization as families. Because of this, kinds means the most basic organism form where reproduction may occur
