One of the most influential decisions made in the history of The United States was the infamous Louisiana Purchase. The Louisiana Purchase was a deal made in 1803 between Napoleon, a French emperor and Thomas Jefferson, the current leader of America, in acquiring a whopping 825,000 square acres of land. This investment would double the amount of land and profit America would hold. 15 states were eventually created from the land deal and became one of the few greatest occurrences during Thomas Jefferson’s presidency. Although this opportunity seemed undeniably beneficial, many other citizens at the time, most often Federalists, exposed the numerous flaws that came with this transaction.

The Columbian Exchange was an exchange of goods and ideas between the Old World and New World. It was caused by Christopher Columbus sailing to the New World and introducing new goods and ideas to the Native Americans, beginning an exchange. The long term effect or significance of the Columbian Exchange was that both the Old and New World were introduced to new goods and ideas that are now standard and hard to think of without. For example, The Old World introduced grapes to the New World, and the New World introduced peanuts to the Old World, and that's where we get peanut butter and jelly from.

Morton’s toe is a kind of deformity in the body where the second toe of the foot appears to be longer than the first toe (big toe). This definition brings out confusion though. Morton’s toe is not really a long second toe (which refers to the phalanges, or the toe bones), instead it is the relative length of the metatarsal foot bones where the first metatarsal is shorter relative to the second metatarsal.
