Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once said,”You can’t win unless you know how to lose.” This quote is relevant because it is linked to sports and GPA. High school athletes should have to keep a certain GPA in order to play sports. First, if there isn’t a certain GPA to go by, most athletes wouldn’t try in school Therefore, sports don’t get you anywhere, but grades will. Lastly, you have to set goals in order to play sports in high school. Most athletes would not try in school if there wasn’t a GPA to go by. They won’t try because they don't have to. When you try you get rewarded, if you don't try you don't get rewarded. Sometimes it takes a lot of work and time to keep the GPA high enough to play, but in the end you get rewarded by being able to play sports in high school. To go to college we have to have good grades. In order to play sports in college we have to have a certain GPA. Working hard in school will pay off in the future even if you don't think it will. In all, work hard in order to play sports in high school. Athletes have to set goals in order to play sports. Set goals on your grades like you would in a sport. Set a goal of b’s and above. Playing with team members help you get along with other people that you may never talk to in school. When you don't make goals on your grades sports will be taken away from you until you get your grades where they should be
