The 3 main areas in which nursing organizations are concerned about advocacy are the leadership in clinical practice, research and education. The four independent nursing organizations that form the Tri-Council for Nursing and which the interest representing these area s of leadership are the National League for Nursing (NLN), the American Association of Colleges of Nu7rsing (AACN), the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and the American Nurses Association (ANA). The AACN is the national voice for baccalaureate and graduate nursing education (AACN, 2013) with members about 725 schools of nursing and the NLN has 33.000 individual members and institutional members of 1200. The NLN is responsible for the progress of nursing education including associate degree and Licensed practical nurse education (NLN, 2013). The American Organization of Nurse Executives, members are about 9000. It provides leadership professional development, advocacy and research to develop nursing practice to the highest level and patient care, promote nursing and the advancement of nursing leadership and shaping the public policy for the nation’s healthcare (AONE, 2013). Finally, the American Nurses Association (ANA) to advance the nursing profession and make sure nurses apply the standard of practice, lobby the congress, project a positive and realistic view of nursing, promoting the rights of nurses in the work place and the regulatory agencies on healthcare issues affecting nurses and the public (ANA, 2013 as cited in Mason et al,. 2016,
