Why do you want to join Kappa Alpha Psi?
Have you ever felt isolated, or how about separated from something that you wish for on the regular. I’m talking about an unbreakable bond that you share with a group or friends. Only I wouldn’t call it an friendship because those fade. I’m talking about an everlasting brotherhood. I want to join Kappa Alpha Psi because I feel isolated from social life on campus. I want to build a close bond and call them my lifetime brothers no matter what. Growing up I never had a group of friends I just enjoyed being around in school. I never had that group of guys that I was comfortable with socially until I met Bishop Carl McRae. We all felt like we had something to prove and we all wanted to prove we belonged. I’ve laughed, argued, cried, celebrated, lost, and won with those group of 10 guys and we built that bond while also being god fearing! I walked in that church that day because I lost my bestfriend, but god blessed me with ten more. At 13 years old I experienced lost for the first time in my life and it was like Bishop Carl showed me the way to happiness. He healed me with the art of being a cheerful giver and trusting people whole heartedly. I am humbled and honored to say that Carl McRae is not only one of my role models but is one of the main reasons I started researching Greek fraternities and felt Kappa Alpha Psi the brotherhood I want to be apart of. I never had a father growing up. I learned the characteristics of being a man on the fly and with great mentorship. I was introduced to Kappa Alpha Psi by one directly in the flesh. Mr. Bishop Carl McRae himself and while learning more about Kappa Alpha Psi I realized that my my goals and aspirations aligns directly with the fraternities objectives.
