(Extendicare) IV. Synthesis Company Culture Overall the culture at Extendicare Inc. is a positive one. In-house promotions are encouraged. Having over 250 facilities one would expect the culture of facilities to differ from one to the next, but in the Extendicare system the e culture is consistent. The outside alliances that are formed are professionally parallel. In-house the culture was that of a close knit family, steeping in to assist co-worker, so that we all shine. The code is “We rise, we fall together”. Unfortunately, corporate leaders have not been consistent nor has communication been a top priority. This is unfortunately, that they have not acquired a transformational leader at the corporate level. Communicating to the workers gives them a feeling of importance, a feeling of ownership.so, instead of being a good company they could become a great/excellent one.
