The Securities Exchange Commission’s EDGAR database informed that the company had an increase in advertising revenue of 65 % of total advertising revenue, compared with the 45% increased in 2013. Facebook argues that the most important factor driving advertising revenue growth was an increase in revenue from ads in News Feed on both mobile devices and personal computers. The company has the advantage that counts with millions of users daily active, being exposed to the ads and business promotions. Furthermore, online retail is also a crucial factor for the success of Facebook. The online retail sales increased 10 % in 2013 and an 8% in 2014.
