Another enormous issue Americans should be complaining about, is the food children are being fed in Schools. More than one-third of American kids are obese or overweight. Nutrient-rich food are essential to mental and physical health. If our children are the most important investment for our futures, how we expect them to perform at their best with inadequate meals.
If I were to change one thing in my community, I would change the school lunches, because they taste horrendous, and they need to be healthier. First, the lunches should not be processed foods because those use a lot of chemicals that are harmful to the body. Some examples of processed foods are foods that come pre made or from a box or a can. Processed foods usually contain more con syrup and sugars, usually addicting and can make you gain weight, contains many artificial ingredients, high in carbohydrates, and uses lots of oils that are usually processed as well.
The school lunches can not get healthier. Mrs. Obama changed the school lunches a few months in being first woman. She done so with no child left behind. The lunch ladies will not let you through the line with out getting fruits and vegetables. Which is really good it makes sure the student is getting a healthy lunch.
But changing it to where the students wouldn't even want to eat is a bit much. To me, and I'm sure many other students changing the menu for a healthier one would be a bad idea. We would think, if you take what we like to eat what will we eat? We may think, why take something that's already bad and make it worse? We already like very few items on the menu so why change it?
Should School Lunches Change For a long time now people have been arguing over whether or not to change up the restrictions to the lunches served in schools across America. Many different arguments have come up in recent years. School officials should not change up the school lunches because some people need more food than others, they should not be able to tell them what they can and can't eat, and finally because it will take lots of time and money to make the switch. The first reason schools should not put a limit on school lunches because some students need more food than others.
I strongly believe that the cafeteria menus should be changed in order to have a fair and much healthier lunch. Money may be an issue but there are plenty of ways to solve this world wide problem in the schools. Before there wasn't as much diversity and most people would have agreed to choose from two options what to eat. Now there are vegans, vegetarians, and plenty of allergies that could cause problems for someone
Everyone knows that school lunch is greasy, unhealthy, and gross. Some students can not afford to bring lunch to school everyday, therefore leaving them no choice but to eat the school lunch. The schools should provide healthier, better tasting options for students to give them more energy throughout the day. I think that schools should change their lunch menu to new, healthier choices for students.
I believe that the lunch menu at schools should not change to a more healthier lunch. In fact, it would most likely cause a lot of issues between parents and the school board. Students would not like the fact that all their favorite foods are gone. Also, students would start packing their own lunches at home and bringing their packed lunch to school. Some kids might just go without eating all together.
I have been in school for thirteen years, a staggering 76% of my life; and after all this time nothing has changed. Every single day I get served the same unhealthy, inedible lunch. It is something I can no longer do, I will no longer sacrifice myself to clench my hunger and thirst with this nauseating, unsavory, unappetizing food. Yes breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but many of us do not get to eat breakfast because we are rushing to get to school. So why not fight for a better school lunch that all kids can enjoy and energize from?
Human trafficking must contain an element of force, fraud, or coercion unless less than 18 years of age involved in commercial sex acts; must be forced labor and/or exploitation, and the persons trafficked are victims. These individuals are enslaved, does not have to involve the actual movement of the victim, and there’s no requirement to cross an international border. The person must be involved in labor/services or commercial sex acts. Smuggling is when the person being smuggled is generally cooperating, there is no actual or implied coercion, and the people being smuggled may not necessarily be victims of the crime of smuggling. These individuals are free to leave, change jobs, etc.
It would only change what is at school. Students aren't going to change their whole diet because one meal is changed. changing the school food to become healthier will not have much of an impact. It could lead to students to stop buying lunches. students would start to pack lunches that can be much more unhealthy than what the school lunches originally were.
All of the children that live in America are entitled to a free public education. A lunch is provided that costs a reduced fee for those who attend a public school. Everyday thousands of kids go to school and mindlessly eat this lunch. A lunch that is filled with frozen, processed foods that all share the same unpronounceable chemicals in their ingredient list. I personally believe that if schools started to add more natural, fresh, whole foods into their lunches it would be helpful to our societies growing obesity epidemic.
People need to take initiative to stop eating food that’s not healthy for them because at the end of the day it’s all up to you to stay healthy. Our country become less responsible for their own health and start to blame everyone else for their own health but look at us not eating right and wondering why they are not feeling good, you’re not doing the right thing. This world is full of
Imagine a school that has multiple healthy school food options, that is worth standing in line for. I think that all schools should have a healthy school lunch. It's very important to have nutritious school lunches so that we can be healthy and have energy during the school day. I think we should have better and healthier school menus. Our school menus are very high in cholesterol and saturated fat.
Yes we most definitely have healthier school lunches there would be no more bullying, active kids, and no obese kids. It would be amazing if the school lunches could be healthy. It would also be a life changing thing for all of the obese kids in the world. There are many kids in the world that are obese. We don’t need school lunches making them obese to.
