Fast food could be worse for you than you think. It is widely known that fast food is unhealthy but it might be worse than what you had anticipated. The use of preservatives, fillers, and treatment processes have caused the health value of these products to be considerably low. While products containing large amounts of fillers, preservatives, and carbohydrates can lead to serious health problems. The goal of these companies is to create something that appears normal with the lowest cost to them. Having achieved this, something deceptively more unhealthy than your average burger is created.

Fillers are artificial substances

used typically in meat products to increase their density while being lower in cost than that of actual meat. The Fast food industry is again the largest consumer of filler substances. Having on average, more than 60% of the cost to producers. Testing by researchers from the Laurel School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, found fillers are also more than 70% of the calories contained inside fast food products. Finding as well that meat distributed by fast food companies are less than 2% actual meat. Common fillers are the leading cause of diabetes in America and are also accounting for a massive 40% of all caloric intake.

People with different opinions would argue that fast food companies do offer healthier options, Typically a salad or something along those terms. Hoping that people interested wont look further. However it was confessed by employees, that salads distributed are commonly treated with preservatives and stored frozen for long periods of time.
