Genetically modifying our plants to get more food for the growing population has been a very hot topic of interest over the past 20 years and still today in our media. With the possibility of ending world hunger, how could this miraculous process be anything but wrong? With the way population has frequently been increasing in the recent years, it looks to be the only way to keep up with the demand, but what really goes into this genetic modification process anyways? I will be talking about, the potentially dangerous and proven health effects on humans, the impact genetically modified organisms have on our economy and finally how once we started this process there will be no going back. I believe GMO’s have the potential to do major damage to us as a species here in the United States and if more people do not get educated and fight back against the big companies doing this, we will as a whole have many issue’s in the future. Most people are not aware how much damage we have already done. GMOs can cross pollinate, their seeds can travel and become intertwined into anyones garden. It is impossible to fully stop and end the use of GMOs now. according to “responsibletechnology”, Self-propagating GMO pollution will outlast and be a problem long after the effects of any global warming problem or nuclear waste damage. The potential impact is beyond comprehension, threatening the health of all future generations to come. GMO contamination has also caused many economic losses for specifically organic farmers who now often have to struggle just to keep their crops pure and
