The Town of South Amboy was devastated, after it was struck by super storm Sandy on October 29, 2012. The town of South Amboy lost basic services and first responders were working to their full capacity in order to meet the town’s need. There is a Senior assisted living facility in the town of South Amboy near the shore area, the facility housed approximately fifty residents. The view is beautiful from there; however, due to the proximity to the ocean, it’s also a dangerous place due to flooding. The magnitude of super storm Sandy obligated everyone in the facility to evacuate in order to stay alive.
To the Government of Denmark, Given the escalating situation in Mali and prior efforts to support peacekeeping missions and recognizing the importance of the implementations of MINUSMA(2013), I have decided to send this letter. Additionally, I am concerned with the migration patterns in Europe and the influences of this on the political unrest within Denmark. I hope for future references that this recommendation with regard to Mali can inspire other decisions with regard to peacekeeping in the future. Denmark has always supported peace and nation building in Africa and will continue to do so. In 2011 Denmark has supported the French military intervention Serval as Denmark has previously recognized the importance of stabilizing this region.
"All children have individual sleep and rest requirements. Children need a comfortable relaxing environment to enable their bodies to rest. This environment must be safe and well supervised to ensure children are safe, healthy and secure in their environment. "(Community Child care Co-operative, Page1, July 2013) Ensuring that there are adequate numbers of cots and bedding available to children that meet Australian standards and is clean and not torn or have holes.
Question #1 The role of a manager in an organization's culture is usually dependent upon two things: 1) To what degree the business wants the manager to interact with it's employees 2) And the degree of authority the business wants to give to it's manager. In some cases the manager may need to lead as a disciplinarian, and in other cases the manager may need to just interact with his or her employees. In both scenerios the manager is expected to be the role model of that business.
Business Intelligence The use of business intelligence is increasingly more important in the day to day use of technology by consumers, businesses, and organizations. The ability to capture consumer trends is priceless from a revenue and profit stand point. The business that recognizes this benefit will stay ahead in their current markets. These processes enable businesses to continue to capture a larger market share for the benefit of the organization and corporate shareholder.
Community health nursing is directed toward improving the health outcomes of the community through the prevention of disease as well as handling crises in the case of a natural disaster. In the following discussion, I will describe the stages to preparing for a tornado because of the potential of happening my local area and the public nurse’s role during each of the stages. Managing a disaster starts with the first stage which is the prevention phase. The demographics of local area need to be identified by trending the vulnerable groups so that extra attention and care can be provided.
In the Carollee Howes article on Infant Child Care she emphasizes that a child who receives unworthy care at home and at their child care facility are those we need to be the most concerned about. The article, in my opinion, made a clear case for child care centers to have highly trained staff with many adults, reduced choirs for the caregivers (aside from taking care of the children), and an environment that catered to infants and toddlers. This would give all children a huge advantage no matter what their home life was like. In a 0-3 article titled, “Caring for Infants and Toddlers in Groups,” it is stated that it is imperative that the ratio to child be as low as 3:1 for infants and 4:1 for 18 months to three year olds.
The schools prospectus and website will also hold the policies and parents can be made aware of what is expected of the pupil, staff and parents. If parents can not find the information they are looking for then they can contact the school for dates of open days or meetings for new parents. Open days are also a chance for new parents to speak to current parents of children already attending the school to ask questions and get a feel for the atmosphere. All schools have assemblies where pupils and staff and on special occasions a number of parents are invited in to join them in worship.
Before each “child care season”, the Administrator has to set certain goals and expectations that they want their students to obtain by the end of their session. It is important for the Administrator
We create a positive and secure environment, working to ensure all children feel safe, appreciated and important. We do this by being inclusive, treating each child as an individual and promoting mutual respect. One of the most natural factors of being an Early Years Practitioner is nurturing the children in our care, this is salient in creating healthy attachments in children. We show this by using positive body language when interacting with children, we show them we are interested to help develop their sense of attachment and security. We are sensitive and attend to their needs, children
Analyze and describe my own style of caregiving, as far as I am a preschool caregiver, I enforce my self to being authoritative and responsiveness. Demonstrate respecting to each child is the first reason of I have chosen to be responsiveness. There is a belief of mine that children’s “core of personal values” (power point slide P16) will start to building up in their childhood. “be willing to give explanations” (P16) would feed child’s knowledge in each stage they face to. From my experience with toddlers, some of young toddler may not speak fluency, but they are smart enough to understand the responsiveness by adults whom they put trust on, with listening and watching your facial reaction.
The textbook for this course, Infants, Toddlers, and Caregivers, is based on ten principles for child care that are outlined by researcher Magda Gerber in the 1970’s. The ten principles are based on a philosophy of respect. In addition to the ten principles, a caregiver should know the “Three-R’s” for interaction. The Three R’s are respectful, responsive and reciprocal.
Danette Glassy (pediatrician), Carolyn Stolov (family-life expert at care.com) and Dr. Karen Sheehan (medical director) are three people that support my view point. They point out different concerns a parent should have when searching for the right child care facility, and they help the parents in ways to question the facility and get the comforts they need. When a parent is concerned about the supervision, these three suggest the parents to “drop in or volunteer from time-to-time to check out how things are managed.” They also say to check about child ratio within that facility. They also say to “watch to make sure the staff is following the health and safety rules” to make sure the staff is being properly trained.
