The food industry today is riddled with deception, lies, and health concerns. There are many problems with the food we eat and people want change. From large companies bribing researchers to benefit their product to fast food industries using unsafe ingredients. Many people are considering going vegetarian, but even they aren’t safe! Controversies over GMOs, or genetically modified organisms (food), is at an all time high. Many people are calling to put labels on GMOs, as some believe they cause health issues. Companies today are deceiving people into eating their products. The fact that people do not know the true health concerns regarding fast food and soda is disturbing, as many people are gaining weight. The reason people do not know what they are putting into their mouths is because the companies hide it from them, conjuring up bogus studies and lying to their consumer. The fact is, the food industry is not getting any better, and GMOs are suffering the blame of consumers as well. Perhaps the biggest problem in the food industry is lack of nutrition in current food products. Many food companies value profit over the consumer. These bogus studies are engineered by the company to trick people into thinking that there are no negative benefits to their product. This is a widespread and important problem. These companies are deceiving people that are trying to be healthy and making it harder for Americans to do so. These companies pull of these deeds by paying “researchers” to conduct an experiment with an outcome engineered to make the company look better. These companies are allowed to do so with no consequences and people do not know what to trust anymore. This issue is very troubling as it misleads people into believing what they are eating is healthy
