Gospel Essentials
While giving a lecture on distinguishing a Christian worldview, Stanley E. Porter (2013) encourages that a Christian worldview should be personally evaluated so that one can live out his Christian walk in a way that differentiates itself from other worldviews while maintaining consistency and coherence. Therefore, establishing the essentials of a Christian worldview is a necessary preliminary. In light of that proclamation, this paper will outline the Gospel essentials as pertains to God, humanity, Jesus, and restoration followed by an analysis and personal reflection.
God
In the Christian worldview, God is the ultimate reality. He is Sovereign Creator of all things (Genesis 1). The Trinity, defined as three persons in one substance, is the Godhead comprised of: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus who is fully God and fully man), and God the Holy …show more content…

The Christian worldview believes that God is the ultimate reality. Man, who was created in the image of God, fell from God’s favor in disobedience and has been subject to inherent sin ever since. Jesus, God’s very own son, gave His life as a ransom for all men so that we could be reconciled in fellowship with God. Through faith in the words and works of Jesus Christ, we live a life of faith growing into the image of Christ and learning to love God and man selflessly and fully just as God Himself does. My final analysis of the Christian worldview is that although the great strength of Christianity is that it is rooted in love and forgiveness, yet to its hurt, it is often misunderstood by both non-believers and some believers as people tend to point blame and cast judgment onto others instead of reflecting inwardly and bringing their own issues before God. In reflection, God has faithfully provided for every need, healed every sickness, answered every question and comforted my longing
