I have experienced first-hand the extraordinary outcomes that occur when people are brought together and given the conditions to express their unique thoughts and points of view. As the third generation of my family to have studied at Graded School (The American School of Sao Paulo), I learned the importance of being part of a community at a young age. I grew up in a supportive and close-knit environment, which gave me the chance to take risks and get involved in various activities. As I am fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, I had the opportunity to develop excellent communication skills and connections with people from all over the world. Therefore, I want to again experience a dynamic and stimulating environment that I had at Graded by studying in the dynamic and multicultural UK at QMUL in order to prepare myself for future challenges and this new chapter in my professional career.
Attending university in Brazil was essential to develop both business and personal networks in the country I plan to work and live in for most of my life. At the same time, I believe that an international experience with a specific objective is valuable, since it provides an opportunity to broaden horizons by living abroad, expand my network to a more global level, and to get in touch with the latest concepts and principles in the business world which are highly developed in the UK. Recently, I have shifted from a predominantly technical position at an engineering firm to a managerial position in the family business where I am training to become the future CEO of the company. I therefore believe that a masters in Management is essential for this new professional role.
