I am an aspiring video game developer. For the vast majority of my life I’ve been playing video games. They aren’t only just a hobby for me, but a major part of my life. Learning how they work and the people behind my favorite titles has pushed me to learn whatever information I can in order to make my own games. That is what lead me to getting a computer science major, but it didn’t feel like enough. I’ve learned a lot during my time at Clemson University, but I believe I have so much more to learn. The vast amount of information out there is my motivator to apply for graduate school. The specific degree that I have chosen is the MS in DPA. I have a lot of desires from the degree. I not only want to pursue improving my art in digital sculpting, but I want to learn how to apply my programming knowledge to the more technical aspects of digital art. This spans many topics, but the two I’m very interested in is graphical programming and animation. Previously I’d never experienced such dedication to not only teaching the topic, but to my own work in the class. The dedication and talent that Insun showed me was astounding. I finally witnessed that the dreams locked away in my head could become reality. I could finally pick apart my brain and show off the mental images I thought up. This realization only went further. I knew that I had an amazing start with his class, but I can go much further with graduate school. It would be a huge opportunity to learn more from those that have experience in the career field I’m invested in.
