Mathematics at times can be the most frustrating subject I have ever studied, nevertheless I love it. The challenge of thinking and the process of logic always attract me to problems, however tough and regardless of the form in which they come. Everything that is happening from using quadratic equations to making sure fireworks are safe to simple day to day life problems can be explained in a mathematical way which is the beauty of this subject.
In sixth form, I am currently studying A-levels in Maths, Economics and Biology. I particularly enjoy the Core Mathematical units of the A-level syllabus, especially calculus and trigonometric identities. Economics has allowed me to improve my analytical skills by analysing research methods, data, conclusions and recommendations. To know more about Maths at University, I attended a Maths and Finance taster course at Queen Mary University of London which I undoubtedly enjoyed. Furthermore I have also been looking at various online maths lectures which convinced me that mathematics is the right choice for me.

I shadowed an Investment Banker at UBS and also done a week long internship at KPMG. I have observed first-hand the persistent demands and stresses of a rewarding career. Also I did work experience in a pharmacy and despite the fact the work itself was not directly related to my career field, it was useful in giving me the awareness to a professional atmosphere.
