4.2 Communication Strategy
Hofstede 's cultural dimensions’ theory is a framework for cross-cultural communication, developed by Geert Hofstede. It describes the effects of a society 's culture on the values of its members, and how these values relate to behaviour, using a structure derived from factor analysis. If we explore Saudi Arabia’s culture, we can get a good overview of the drivers of its culture in comparison to rest of the world cultures. Power Distance
This dimension gives us the view of the fact that different individuals in each society are not same – it conveys the viewpoints of the culture towards these inequalities. Power Distance is defined as the unequal power distribution in the society and to which extent the less dominant members within a country who accept the same.
Saudi Arabia scores high with 95 on this dimension which means that people are accustomed to a hierarchy that needs to be followed and no questions being raised. Since the country is ruled by Kings, it implies that the power is centralized, stringent rules exist that need to be adhered.

Individualism
This dimension tells us the level of interdependence in a society, image defined in terms of “I” or “We”. We see that in societies that are individualist, people tend to look after self and immediate family only, whereas in societies
