Hi Nicole! I had the opportunity to watch Glen Weybright too, but with a different client, Mia. Glen is an outstanding clinician, as he is able to truly connect with his clients and make them feel very comfortable. He has become one of my favorite clinician’s to watch on MCN. It’s interesting that you bring up that the boy’s family was involved in the session because Mia had her mom participating in her session too.
I’m gonna talk about the book “Night” that we have read in class during the second term. The story has for setting the time period of the WWII, in Europe. The story is about Elie, a jew and his family that are facing a lot of struggles because of their religion. Over the course of the book, Elie changes from believing in God to not believe in God. This is important to the book as a whole because it connects to the internal conflict.
According to the ATI data, I Showed strength in several of the nursing test. Team B is comprised of nurses and nurse educators. As nurse educators, one of the goals is to prepare students to pass the NCLEX (National Council of State Boards of Nursing) exam. The HESI test provides an opportunity to assess how well students are prepared for the actual NCLEX test. In helping prepare students, it would be useful to know if the exam averages in class correlate with HESI scores. This could be used as a gauge to verify that the information covered in class are the items the students need to know on the HESI exam.
When I joined AVID in seventh grade I was amazed how AVID works and how it can be used every day. Not only AVID helps you with your grades, but it also helps you to be more organized and a hard-working student. AVID helped me discover my full potential by showing me that I can always do better. What I mean by this is that in sixth grade I was not in AVID, I made all A’s and B’s. In seventh grade when I was in AVID, I made all A’s.
The reading from Kiese Laymon poses more questions to me than I had thought I would have going into the reading. I do remember reading this in 10th grade with Ms. Hodge and her asking us repeatedly, to examine the diction and phrasing of the piece. For example, on the first page, paragraph 3, there is a part that reads; “That Filet-o-fish straight cradling my lips..” and Ms. Hodge was persistent in asking us to “discover” the reason that Laymon used those words in that sentence. Now, I still have no idea why she was so persistent on asking us what it meant.
The time spent at Western Governors University (WGU) has been a great opportunity to learn about myself, my goals, and understand the factors that influence my career choice and my success. When I began at WGU four years ago, I did not have any experience in human resource management beyond recruiting, hiring and training for the restaurant industry. In the beginning, I was uncomfortable with the limited knowledge. Yet, as time progressed, my confidence, knowledge and skills increased with each course.
I personally believe that the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is currently the most important. For me this was a difficult choice because the CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and (Department of Homeland Security) are also incredibly important, especially with the difficulties our country is facing today. I do feel, that SAMHSA, being the “umbrella” agency for other services, is in greater need to provide proper care for those affected drugs (especially, heroin) and mental illnesses. Drugs do not discriminate. They can damage anyone’s life, regardless of age, financial class, or ethnic background.
During my second year of High School and my second year of agriculture, my teacher had been talking about an organization/club called FFA or Future Farmers of America the largest student-run organization in America that actively recruits and participants in Agricultural happenings in every state and High School around. In just about every High School whether active or not they had an FFA. In the High School, the last FFA was in the 8o´s and my teacher had the great wanting of having another active FFA chapter so we set out to do so. It took 2 semesters and many students filling out paperwork and sending it into the national FFA back East finally we got the finalization of the South Whidbey FFA club, we were official.
This is accurate. I 'm currently an intern with a federal agency and I was told about this opportunity about a week before it came out (One of the agents I 'm close with and work with knows a supervisor in HHS). I actually got a phone call as soon as the annoucment was put on USA JOBS and was told to get to a computer as soon as possible and apply (It was put up like around 4-5 PM). 60 percent is WHO you know and the other 40 is WHAT you know. That is what I have learned the last few years.
Life is a surprise road trip. You don’t know where you are going, but if you keep driving you will eventually get to the place you want. The book Oh, the Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss is a children's book that was originally written for a high school graduation. The book is about life's journey and how along the way you will have to make decisions that might be no brainers, but also could be very difficult. It also talks about how life is going to throw you curveballs that could be very devastating, but the key is to never to give up.
The Process of Reflection The process of reflection is central to clinical supervision. Launer (2003) describes external and internal factors in supervision whereby clinical practice and sharing skills are external and reflection is an ‘internal conversation.’ Brunero & Stein-Parbury (2008) discussed the effects of clinical supervision in nursing staff and argued that self-reflection generates a sense of self-awareness and knowledge to the individual. Supervisees or students may be asked what happened during a clinical event, how they felt, the implications of their actions and what they would do differently if faced with the same situation.
When the film The Sixth Sense, directed by Night Shyamalan debuted in 1999, it mesmerized audiences near and far with its appealing paranormal plot, its deceptive nature and its top-shelf talent from its actors. The film was immensely prosperous and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. However, most casual moviegoers overlooked its underlying philosophical significance. The Sixth Sense is driven by the big questions of life from almost every aspect of philosophy specifically metaphysics and epistemology. In this specific scene Shyamalan relies on subtlety to create a creepy atmosphere of something beyond our ordinary beliefs and understanding.
Everyone belongs to a social class. Whatever reality you been born in, is going to shape the way you believe and act. Each individual is different and unique, however, is not unknown that the experiences we had over our life shape our identity. In the movie Elysium, the Earth has been contaminated. The rich people flew away to a new land created in the space named Elysium, which left those with less money behind.
