A DNA match to Ronald Lee Moore, a rapist/murderer found the suspect in three 1999 cases and one of them was a woman’s death by strangulation. Ronald was released 10 days prior to the disappearance of Hae. Ronald then killed himself in 2012 after being caught by police officers again for more crimes. I do believe that testing should be provided in the reopening of the case, this evidence could lead to the innocence of Adnan and could raise more questions on why Jay lied to the police about the disappearance and murder of
In fact, I think it only further corroborates my theory that Jay killed Hae on his own and then pointed to Adnan. Because if you were in possession of your friend’s car and your friend’s phone, how would you make it look like your friend was with you? By calling someone in your friend’s phonebook whom you did not know. During the trial, the lawyers question Nisha about a time in which Adnan called her and then put Jay—at Jay’s insistence—on the phone to say hello. While Nisha confirms that such a call did happen, she is adamant that it was made from the adult video store where Jay worked.
I am a detective with the Baltimore Police Department working on the Hae Min Lee murder case. I’m not the lead detective, I'm more of the underdog. This case is starting to screw with me, it’s so twisted and none of it makes sense. An 18 year old girl leaving school disappears without a trace and four weeks later shows up dead in Leakin Park. It’s not out of the ordinary to find bodies in Leakin Park, because it's Leakin Park.
In the first interview, he confessed of knowing what had happened to Hae due to the fact that he was there to witness it all. In his testimony, he revealed that Adnan had strangled Hae to death at a Best Buy parking lot because Adnan was angry at the fact that Hae had besmirched his honor. Jay also gave the detectives’ concrete evidence to show that he was credible. The strongest evidence that he had provided them was the location of Hae’s missing car. When the detectives saw the Hae’s missing car at the location where Jay said it would be found,
Jocelyn Rodriguez Mrs. Mol English III 5 March, 2024 Jay Wilds’ Conviction of Adnan Syed From living a normal life to becoming a suspect in a murder case. The story of Hae Min Lee’s murder and the suspected killer, Adnan Syed. Hae Min Lee was a very cheerful and funny person who everyone adored, Adnan was also like that as well as being one of the most popular boys at school. They were a power couple until they broke up and a few days later she went missing on January 13, 1999, and on February 9, 1999, her body was discovered at Leakin Park. Adnan was immediately considered a suspect, especially after a “friend” of his, Jay Wilds, told the police what had happened that day and the cell towers played the biggest role in the investigation.
A month later her body was found in Leakin Park by a maintanance guy who went deep into the woods to pee. Hae was strangled to death by her ex-boyfriend. Did Adnan kill Hae because she broke up with him and was with another guy? Adnan says he doesn’t remember what happened on that day but a friend of his name Jay does.
To add towards this reason. Adnan had to get out of school and drive to the best buy to kill Hae in the 21 minutes. If Hae was killed around 2:15 and between 2:36 at the best buy parking lot. If Adnan did kill Hae he would not have time to get out of school and get in his car and drive to best buy and kill Hae and still make it back to school on time for track. Jay says Adnan calls him from a phone booth but when Sarah Koenig went to the best buy were Jay says Adnan called him after killing Hae was never there and even when Sarah checks the company's blueprints and the and the landlord of the best buy and they all say there was never a phone booth
He needs to be seen there he said to Jay. They buried Hae’s body in Leakin Park next to a huge tree trunk. On february 9, 1999 Hae’s body was found by a guy who stopped to take a leak in the park. The guy was interviewed he said that he forgot a tool he needed for work therefore he turned the wheel to the other direction, he also said that he was drinking beer while driving. That’s when he needed to use the restroom, he couldn't wait until he got home; he took a quick stopped and went further than he should and found her body next to a huge tree trunk.
Nothing out of the ordinary happened that day. Lastly, there wasn’t enough witnesses that heard Adnan was leaving with Hae that day. There is not enough evidence to convict him of that murder. Primarily, because the only witness they have on Adnan is Jay. Many people have their droughts on Jay people believe he killed Hae Lee.
Adnan had valid alibis to back up his innocence. Both during the supposed time of murder, and during times that Jay claimed he was elsewhere, disproving Jay’s story. In Jay’s story, he claims that after the murder, Adnan got
After every interview with the authorities, Jay’s story would change in either small details or vastly different. In episode 4, Jay originally said that he found the body at Best Buy parking lot, but now it was a strip on Edmondson Avenue. His story changed in order to minimize his involvement because his relationship with Adnan isn’t worth going to jail for. The other piece of evidence was Adnan’s phone records which were used a confirmation to Jay’s witness statement. Most of the calls add up to what he said, but the phone was in the possession of Jay while Adnan killed Hae.
When the police started their investigation, they found that multiple cars where involved in the murder of Wallace Biggie Smalls. They found that Sean Combs was in the front car. While Biggies friends James and Caesar was in the car with him. They only witnesses were his friends James and Caesar they could provide the best description of the shooter. That’s when they told the police that2 cars where involved in the murder.
This proves that Adnan was the one who killed her. Jay and Adnan both committed a serious crime. Adnan killed Hae with the help from
An athletic, intelligent, and popular Woodlawn High School senior disappears in Baltimore, Maryland. Hae Min Lee disappears after school on January 13, 1999. Hae is seen by multiple people, including her friend Summer, following the final bell. While her ex boyfriend Adnan Syed is at the library with his school mate Asia after school. He is one of the first suspects in Hae’s disappearance although he is cordial with Hae after the breakup.
These two reasons are all that a person should need to believe that Adnan didn't have enough motive, or time, to kill Hae. Jays testimony sets the timeline and proves there is enough evidence, which is not presented by Adnan’s lawyer, to say Adnan is innocent by a straying story. The time period where Hae could've been killed does not match Adnan’s timeline. Jay, who is a convicted felon, was the only witness and is trusted to give a good story. Cristina Gutierrez, who was Adnan’s lawyer, had medical issues that distracted her from using useful information in his case.
