Henry Ford Auto Impact Currently in the United states 95% of americans own a car, this is probably due to Henry Ford’s influence on the automobile industry. Henry ford is known for his model T. Henry ford also has his own airline company. Henry ford is a revolutionary figure in the United States because of how he changed the automobile industry and how it affected the American population.
Henry Ford was one of the factory owners to perfect the assembly line. In february 1914, he added the mechanized belt. “Ford installs the first moving assembly line for the mass production of an entire automobile.” Henry Ford’s assembly line reduced the amount of time it took to build an automobile. He changed the way he paid his worker and set the standard for other businesses. “So Ford paid workers $5 a day an extraordinary amount at the time.” Workers came from far away to work for Henry Ford. other factories changed the way they paid their employees as well. Henry Ford not only changed the way employees were paid but he also helped improve the ways Americans traveled. Because of Henry Ford there were more roads and easier travel. Model T helped towards the development of roads and the growing of local businesses. “After the Ford Model T, the government was able to generate enough revenue from gasoline taxes to enable the sustainable development of roads in the United States.” This resulted in people being able to shop in nearby cities. Businesses were able to grow quicker and easier.. Henry Ford changed the shape of the automobile industry and has made it much bigger.
Due to how Henry Ford changed the automobile industry, he has had a huge impact and is a revolutionary figure in the United States. Henry Ford managed to perfect the assembly line and increase productivity. Henry Ford changed the rate of pay for building automobiles and set a standard for other businesses.
