I’ve come a long way since elementary school. It seems like no time has passed since I graduated from Oak View and now I find myself in proximity to my high school graduation. I know that I would not be the person I am today, without the guidance that I have received from the Oak View School community. They’ve shaped me in countless ways in which I cannot entirely express.
The motivation to succeed and consistently try with all my effort began in elementary school. I believe that is what got me to the point which I am at today. What I have gathered from my time at Oak View are the values of perseverance, respectfulness, and kindness. I hope these ideals are reflected in my grades, interactions, and overall experiences in Bloomfield I’ve had the privilege of being immersed in through my educational journey. …show more content…

This enrichment program was difficult to be a part of because I had to manage missing classwork while keeping up with the work in G&T as well. In G&T we developed our critical thinking skills, and explored numerous academics ranging from law to problem solving. It was worthwhile because it had been challenging yet it piqued my interests in academics. This is where my commitment to taking AP courses throughout high school stemmed from. I took such demanding classes because I wanted to be challenged and strengthen my skills in the subjects that I had a real interest.
Since attending Oak View School, I have become more outgoing. With that, I've started taking some leadership roles in the high school. It began in elementary school as small acts of taking charge in class or certain activities and grew to running for an office position in National Honor Society and Yearbook
