Anne Frank’s Legacy There is nobody better at hide and seek than Anne Frank. The Franks lived in a confined space for almost two years with four other people, never once getting to go outside. I hope they weren't claustrophobic. Throughout this lengthy period Anne expressed her feelings through writing. Her journal was named Kitty, to keep her company.
In the play of “The Diary of Anne Frank,” Anne states,”In spite of everything I still believe people really are good at heart.” She believes that deep down everyone is good. I agree with her. There are people who do bad things, but deep down is a sense of good, like a small candle in a dark room. Everyone has a choice to let their light shine or extinguish it.
Dealing With Conflict and Hard Times When it comes to dealing with tough times such as going to internment camps or hiding from Nazi soldiers so that they aren’t taken to centration camps, there are three important questions that come into play; What motivates people to move through hard times and moments? , What can people do to help others going through tough problems?, and Who can people go to to help them through tough times or conflict? I think that people can best respond to conflict by staying strong through courageousness and always having people in their life to talk to.
Anne’s dream of surviving beyond death came true. When her dad found her diary and had it published her words lived on longer than she did. Her personality has lived on through her book and into the new generations teaching them what it was like to live in an attic with people searching for her during war for two years. I feel like it would be better if Anne survived the war but not all of time that way she could be interviewed and asked more questions about going into hiding. After she would get interviewed there could be a new biography written in better detail and further into the story of Anne Frank.
In “The Diary of Anne Frank” by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, Anne changes during the time she spends in hiding. A dynamic character is a character that undergoes an important inner change in their personality or attitude in the course of the story. Therefore, Anne is a good dynamic character because she changes her personality and emotions towards other during her time she was hiding in the Secret Annex. One of the biggest changes Anne goes through is her feelings for Peter Van Daan.
In the 1900’s the Nazis killed about six million innocent Jews. Anne Frank and her family spent roughly 2 years in a secret annex hiding from the Nazis. As time passed, many historical events that occurred outside the annex influenced the moods and relationships of the characters. Anne Frank’s Character Development Throughout the War Throughout World War II Anne Frank was kept hidden away in a 500 square foot building they came to call the Secret Annexe. Anne Frank, her family, and the Van Daans endured difficult times of hunger, thirst, and lack of privacy cornered by walls for over two years. Anne confided her observations and feelings of the hard times within her diary she named Kitty. By writing in her diary both before and after the war, one could visibly notice how Anne went into the Annexe as a juvenile and came out as a young adult.
