How Does Mr Fisk Deserve The Jefferson Award

Young kids need an inspiring and kind coach to help them succeed in this world, especially in sports. The Jefferson Award is given to adults in the community who help younger people learn. Mr. Fisk is a former math teacher and baseball coach. Mr. Fisk is inspiring and kind, that’s why I think he deserves the Jefferson Award. One reason Mr. Fisk deserves the award is because he is kind to his players. Fisk is kind by teaching kids how to do a flamingo drill instead of just watching them struggle. Furthermore, Parker Bender, a team member, said, “Team member Parker Bender, says, he is helpful in many ways by teaching us how to hit a ball properly. He used to be a teacher so he is better at teaching baseball.” This suggests, that Mr. Fisk is a kind person by being able to teach us how to hit a ball properly and helpful by showing us that too. Clearly, Mr. Fisk deserves the Jefferson Award because of his kindness which can help others in the future gain a better mentality, making them want to play better during games and even practices. Some may say others deserve the Jefferson Award like the president because of him being special to the country, but I think Mr. Fisk deserves it more because he inspires kids using his past teaching skills.
