The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy Was the assassination of President John F. Kennedy by Lee Harvey Oswald justified? On November 22, 1963 as President John F. Kennedy was riding through downtown Dallas, Texas, he was shot. He “died of a bullet wound in the brain caused by a rifle” and was pronounced dead at 1:00 PM, just thirty minutes after he had been shot (Wicker, Paragraph 2). The death of President John F. Kennedy was not justified because although segregation was still a huge issue, he was a husband and father, he was the President of the United States, and he was working hard on reforms to make America a better place. This is proven by the fact that President Kennedy married Jacqueline Bouvier on September 12, 1953 (Freidel Paragraph 2). He then severed in the U.S. House Of Representatives from 1947-1953 (Coleman Paragraph 2). Following that, he served in the U.S. Senate from 1953-1961 (Coleman Paragraph 2). This shows that he might have been young, but was very experienced. He was the youngest person elected as U.S. president at 43 years old and was also the first Roman Catholic presidents (Coleman Paragraph 2).
