In this paper I will cover the week five Georges Hotel Case Study along with completing the Human Resource Final Paper. I will discuss the Georges Hotel problems, and how a proper training program can improve their business practices. I will then examine how the effects of an updated training program can also aid in growing their current company. Finally, I will integrate what I have learned over the last five weeks of this course into a final paper by utilizing the information from the course shell to include the areas of Strategic Human Resource Management, Employment Law, Successful Recruitment, and Talent Management strategies, and Training and Development.
Georges Hotel Case Study
Although the HR director of the Georges Hotel never received official training, she seems to be doing a suitable job managing the hotel. She has discovered there are changes required particularly if they want to grow their business and expand in the future. This will include changes to all positions within the organization to include the HR director. By developing and utilizing a proper training program, the business has an opportunity to fix current problems and identify areas needing improvement in the immediate areas of concern. …show more content…

This will alleviate the possibility of complaints escalating to upper management. This hotel has very few official policies, they do not maintain an employee handbook, there are no prescribed procedures to handle complaints, supervisors are not trained in depth and there is an absence of procedures how to handle disciplinary issues.
