Our life stories allow us to make sense of our lives and help us decide who we want to be. Many events in my life have molded my own story. The experiences I have had in the last couple of years make me an outstanding candidate for admission to the program in Mechanical Engineering in Texas A&M. These experiences include participation in activities such as Carnegie Mellon’s Summer College Preview Program, and several courses I have taken in the last couple of years. Being fascinated by the likes of Thomas Edison and Al-Jazari made a great impact on me, which motivated me to join several activities during my life. For example, I participated in CS4Qatar for students while also taking classes at school. One of the things I learned at CS4Qatar is that beyond all the programming involved in the robots, they function the way they do because of Mechanical Engineering. And as I learned more about it I found out that robotics was an extensive part of Mechanical Engineering that I enjoyed. This experience broadened my knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and I began to understand the many connections it has with other
