The Clifton Strengths Assessment was built to help people get on the right path into the future that suits them best. The assessment helps people discover what they naturally strengthen, and develop these talents into strengths. Laura Peiter spoke on the four different categories your top five strengths can fall into, which were, “executing, influencing, relationship building, and strategic thinking” (2024). For me, I fell into relationship building, with my top strengths being empathy, futuristic, communication, activator, and woo. In this paper, I will be speaking on the two strengths I feel will best prepare me for my future, which also are the strengths that I see actively working in my life everyday.

According to the StrengthsFinder survey, my top five signature strengths/themes are: Ideation, Adaptability, Deliberative, Activator, and Command (StrengthsFinder, 2015). Admittedly, the level of accuracy in which the survey was able to identify some of my traits was surprising. However, these are traits I have been aware of and developed over the years from childhood to present day, but have not had them in such a format that adds context. The survey results were right about me taking one day at a time – I do not worrying about things such as legacy, long term career goals, and what people think of me – Adaptability.

I was surprised that one of my strengths was positivity.
I feel confidently in these strengths multi-tasking in a busy clinical setting, learning quickly, and gaining patients trust in a vulnerable setting as that of therapy. I am also able to follow complex instructions from my Clinical Director and the Physical Therapists. I have relied on these strengths to be a great aide and to be one day a successful PTA. I will be able to take on a full patient load and be able to provide each patient with the best treatment needed for their cases. I enjoy being a reliable employee and I feel I am an asset to the medical professional staff.
