To start with the life and crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer. Dahmer was born on May 21, 1960 he had a quite disturbing, awkward, and weird childhood ("Jeffrey Dahmer"). Although Dahmer had good parents, deceased animals and killing various animals around the ages ten to fifteen. Jeffrey would preform various experiments on his animal victims such as murdering, dissecting , and dissolving the animals in chemicals in the families basement("Jeffrey Dahmer"). After having some problems with substance abuse and being hospitalized as a teen, Jeffrey moved in with his grandmother and committed the first homicide at age 18, in 1978 ("Jeffrey Dahmer"). Long with just the name, OCD is so much more than just a disorder, it affects they way people live, talk, and act ("Facts About Obsessive Compulsive Disorder"). Many people mistake OCD for regular human behavior such as being clean or wanting thongs orderly. It is so much more, deeper, and stronger than that, do controlling those behaviors would have the effect of, " Obsessions are persistent, uncontrollable. Thoughts, impulses, or images that are intrusive, unwanted and disturbing" ("Facts About Obsessive Compulsive Disorder"). Such things in OCD include counting, obsessions, and rituals. Many are mental, ones some cannot see ("Facts About Obsessive Compulsive Disorder"). With these things being so mind consuming, this disorder can create other disorders such as: anxiety, depression, body dysmorphia, bipolar disorder, eating, and hoarding disorders ("Facts About Obsessive Compulsive Disorder"). Although obsessive compulsive disorder is a neurobiological disorder, there are ways to get help, but no cure, thud being a cycle of anxiety if one does not get help. With the right medications and therapy, compulsions can be controlled ("Facts About Obsessive Compulsive Disorder"). The first step into finding help is going to a trusted therapist who can start CBT sessions and prescribe medication. CBT therapy strengthens the week parts of the brain that are triggering these behaviors ("Facts About Obsessive Compulsive Disorder"). Doctors have found that people with this disorder have different functioning brains, but that does not mean the ones who suffer are indeed crazy ("Facts About Obsessive Compulsive Disorder").
