Serial Killers are a phenomenon that attracts professionals wanting to study their behavior and brain to know what caused them do commit multiple murders. It grasps the people’s attention and concern to see how a person can go so far to the extreme before the killing, during and after the murder. There are various definitions that classifies a serial killer, but according to the FBI “serial murder required a temporal separation between the different murders, which was described as: separate occasions, cooling-off period, and emotional cooling-off period.” Among the multiple serial killers around the world Jeffrey Dahmer peaked my interest the most. When Jeffrey Dahmer was asked why, cannibalism? He stated in the interview that “it made me feel like they were a permanent part of me as well as sexual satisfaction” that is why he would preserve parts of the body as well. The killing didn’t satisfy him it was just the means to an end, which is why he tried to created living zombies by injecting muriatic acid and the drilling to the skull. According, to Jeffrey Dahmer the killing was not his objective, his motive was just to keep the person under his control without considering their wishes and consents and keeping them there for as long as he wanted. When it came down to choosing his victims he would go for men that he found physically attracted as well as people that weren’t going to be missed if disappeared to reduce the likelihood of being caught.
