John Brown Is A Villain John Brown will be a villain in everyone's heart because of all the violence he created. John Brown created violence by trying to free slaves. When he did so, he would always kill people and that is not right. For what he did, he needs to be criminalized for life. John Brown is a villain, and here's why. John Brown used violence in every scenario, such as killing a whole family in the middle of the night that didn't do anything wrong. His actions led him to kill many people who never deserved to be killed. This man straight-up committed treason. Normally people do not kill people and commit treason. However, John Brown did this to not just a few people, but a ton. He left families worried about their lives when that should not happen. John Brown is an evil man and this is why. John Brown freed slaves, which is good, however, he gave them weapons to start a rebellion. These slaves are likely not trained with pikes or weapons. This could start a whole riot with the slave owners and it could end up dirty. John Brown and his crew went into Harpers Ferry and caused some eruptions. Normally, people don't give random men weapons to go out and start a free-for-all. John Brown was sentenced to death for treason. When this happened he would speak in court saying things like, “I never intended murder or treason or the destruction of property, or to incite the slaves to a rebellion” (John Brown Document A). This is John Brown telling lies in the making of his court case. This also shows that he did admit to what he did, however, he was trying to convince them otherwise. Usually, when people are sentenced to death, they would confess what they did so they could get some clarity. However, he wouldn’t and this shows he is not a loyal enough man to confess what he
