Summary Statement My name is Leneath Yanson and I have been on this journey called life for over 20 years. My chapter today is aspiring to be a business professional in the world of marketing. I am steps away from a degree. In previous chapters I learned the value of money at 16 years old. Both with a degree and work experience I have been fueling my drive to the next chapter, which is being employed in the business profession, specifically in marketing. They were founded in Vancouver and now have over 50 shops located worldwide, with over 500 employees (Kit and Ace LinkedIn, 2016). Kit and Ace’s corporate values are Innovation, Creativity and Community. They are built on technical innovation, creativity, community and smart and clean business practice. The main building blocks that attract me to this company are innovation, community and smart business practice of production. Innovation allows the brand to be future-focused. They “intend to disrupt the market by showing people what is possible” (Kit and Ace Website, 2016). I believe that I would fit perfectly in creating possibility and not being afraid to create new innovations in the industry, I have the passion, work ethic and drive. Community is just the beginning of Kit and Ace. Each store is catered to the local esthetics from the design of the shop to the experience in the environment. They also partner with local vendors for in-store events.
