There is no doubt that the key to success is hard work, dedication and determination towards our goals whether we win or lose. As a sophomore in the university, I am strongly committed to giving my best whatever I do so that I can make my own unique contribution to our hectic but extraordinarily exciting city, and I have spent my school years building a firm foundation to pursue such. To reach my goal, I have devoted the time and energy necessary for academic accomplishment, and persistently made progress toward earning a degree with outstanding academic performance. In my first year of study, I have a 3.8 grade-point average and have been awarded the Dean’s List. In addition to concentrating on my own studies full-time, I am also career-oriented to participate in the recruitment talks offered by the Student Development Services, acting as the catalyst to have preparation, explore career-related jobs and research workplace requirements in-depth for my future career path. …show more content…

The core responsibilities included that I act not only as a bridge between Head Prefects and members, but with school management and the Prefect team as well. Although it was a very steep learning curve, I experienced the powerful synergy that a genuinely collaborative endeavor can produce, and I learned how to build and maintain an effective team, work towards consensus and make final decisions when required. In an attempt to be a competent team player, I took part in the workshop discussing group work. I learned that team members cannot work in isolation and complete the task at hand singly on their own, the group should be motivated to achieve common goals
