This paper will focus on chapter nine, Feminist Thought and the Ethics of care.This chapter count my attention because it touches themes that are very important for me as a women. First of all, I have to mention that before reading this section my definition of feminist was completely different. My definition of a feminist women was someone who felt superior to a man.Women who often asked for equality, but always wanted to go further and make women look better than a man. Race, economic status and ethnicity have made a difference in a woman succeeding.The story of Malala Yousafzai, a girl who fight in defence of the right of girls to attend school in Pakistan. We often believe that violence against women occurs only in other parts of the world but in United States. At least that's what I thought before helping a campaign call Guardian Angels to stop sexual abuse in Joliet, Illinois on 2016.The difference is that in United States women's have more laws that protect them and help them to be saved if they are victims of violenve.In other countries, womens have no voice and the saddest part is that is in “normal” for them to life in a violent marriage. From my personal point of view I believe that this contributes more violence against women. This concept makes women look like an object even though they have the freedom to choose to participate or not. They may argue that it's a woman body and they can do whatever they want with it, but this affects other womens too. It makes people believe that we all agree with it, and it becomes a problem when you get nasty comments at the street.For me is a lack of respect, if women do not value themselves no one will do it for us. We as women must show that we have the ability to work in important places not to support pornography and make the world think that we only serve for pleasure.I do not see any benefits for women by participating in an act where they are treated as submissive. Same applies for prostitution, women practice this because it is an “easy” way to earn money.
